Students presented representatives from Willow Burn Hospice with a cheque for £7230 on Tuesday 27 September.
North Durham Academy students chose Willow Burn Hospice as their charity last academic year.
Students went all out to raise as much money as they could for the Willow Burn Hospice. Every event that was staged throughout the year, included some form of fundraising, whether it was cake sale, ticket sale donations or raffles.
Last October students came to school dressed in their House colours in exchange for a £1 for Willow Burn Hospice. At Christmas the Year 7 students made all sorts of things including cakes to sell on a Christmas Stall each lunchtime. The students also did a number of very successful bag packs at Asda, Tesco and Morissons.
