House Sports Competition a roaring success

This year’s Sports Competition was an altogether more inclusive event. The decision was made to host all sporting events at the same time in order to increase the amount of individuals taking part. It has to be said that the decision was the correct one with around 550 pupils taking part this year in contrast to previous years where the same participants have tended to take part in all events.

The line-up included something for everybody:

  • Girls Netball
  • Boys Basketball
  • Girls & Boys Football
  • Girls and Boys Kabaddi
  • Girls and Boys Table Tennis

One of the more interesting competitions was Kabaddi. For the uninitiated it may appear to be total chaos, but on closer inspection this form of Indian wrestling / invasion game has become a huge hit with the staff and students alike!

In addition to this, an army of 6th Form Students also took part in the organisation, administration and officiating of the event and in conjunction with the House and PE staff saw to it that a good time was experienced by all. A huge thanks must go out to all those involved
