Year 8 working with Beamish on WW1

8X1 and 8Y1 took part in a workshop with Beamish Museum on Monday 2 February which focused on the experiences of WWI soldiers. They had the opportunity to examine historical artefacts and began some research in preparation for the follow-up session to Beamish after half-term.

As part of the new WWI Training Camp that is at Beamish, North Durham Academy students and their families are invited to visit the museum during half-term on the 20th-21st February and take part in the WWI training camp activities. The cost of the visit is discounted to £5 per person, and includes entrance and the workshops (the cost of the visit is payable at Beamish on the day). If any families wish to attend this they will need to collect a voucher from their history teacher by next Monday 9th February.
